What information do you need for a quote?

Information needed to prepare a quote varies by the coverage or policy type you are seeking.  Besides basic information about your business or organization like your company name, description of operations, and revenue, there are certain additional details that can be helpful to provide as we prepare quotes for specific coverages.

  • Commercial auto- generally requires vehicle information and driver information
  • Buildings- generally requires information about the property including year built, square footage, and a list of recent updates
  • Workers’ compensation- Payroll amounts and number of employees
  • General liability- Basic organization information
What documentation is needed to provide a quote?

Current insurance information (declarations page) and loss runs/claims experience from the current insurance provider is typically required in order to receive an accurate quote.

How will my information be used?

Suracy is committed to protecting the confidentiality and privacy of the information we collect in conducting our business.  Our goal is to address your need for excellent service, while meeting our goal to keep your information safe and secure.  Information that you provide to Suracy will be used to submit to insurance carriers to prepare your quote.  If a policy is purchased, this same information will be used to issue your policy.  Our carriers and Suracy have privacy policies which limit the ways that the information provided to us can be shared and used, generally including to provide and deliver the products and services you request, process transactions, to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights, and to send you related information, including expiration and renewal notices, confirmations and invoices.

How long does it take to get a policy?

The length of time it takes to get a policy depends on the complexity of the associated risks and types of insurance coverage needed.  Generally, we can collect the required information and provide a quote almost immediately.  It is possible that customers can even purchase their policy during their first communication with Suracy.  Some coverages may need to be reviewed by the insurance carrier and can increase the length of time needed to quote and issue the policy depending on associated circumstances.

How do I get my policy documents?

You will receive your policy documentation electronically from Suracy after your policy is placed.  Documents will be sent to the contact email address we have on file associated with your business or organization.
